推奨陽性コントロール：消化管や膀胱の筋層など

 

新たなcytoskeletal smooth muscle-specific protein。Calponin, αSMA, h-caldesmonに比較し、よく分化した平滑筋のみに陽性。Myofibroblasts, myoepithelial cells, striated musclesなどには陰性。血管壁にも陽性だが弱い。

■消化管間葉系腫瘍の鑑別 Cocoらの検討結果を元とした消化管間葉系腫瘍の染色態度の模式図（Smoothelin is a specific marker for smooth muscle neoplasms of the gastrointestinal tract. Coco DP, Hirsch MS, Hornick JL. Am J Surg Pathol. 2009 Dec;33(12):1795-801）。

平滑筋腫（中から高度陽性）と平滑筋肉腫（陰性か核のみ陽性が多い）、GIST(一部のみ核に陽性)の鑑別に有用。

■膀胱の粘膜筋板と固有筋層の鑑別 膀胱の粘膜筋板は陰性～弱陽性 膀胱の固有筋層は強陽性 以上よりTURにおける筋層の鑑別に利用できる
