染色パターン: 核+細胞質
特定の状況で用いられる汎B細胞マーカー。octamer motif (5′-ATTTGCAT-3′). と特異的に結合するDNA binding transcription factorであるOct-1, Oct-2と特異的にinteractする。
形質細胞を含めた広い範囲のB細胞に陽性。特に形質細胞腫の診断に有用。 Reed-Sternberg細胞は37%に陽性（Garcia-Cosio M, Santon A, Martin P, Camarasa N, Montalban C, Garcia JF, Bellas C. Analysis of transcription factor OCT.1, OCT.2 and BOB.1 expression using tissue arrays in classical Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Mod Pathol. 2004 Dec;17(12):1531-8. ）。
また、Oct-2との組み合わせで、classical Hodgkin lymphomaでは両者が陰性か片方しか陽性を示さないのに対し、diffuse large B-cell lymphomaやN-LPHLは両者が陽性となり鑑別に有効との報告もある。(Browne P, Petrosyan K, Hernandez A, Chan JA.
